Hey,
I'm Shaun Paques
a dedicated photographer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My photography journey began in 2015, fueled by a passion for capturing the beauty around me. l learned my skills through photography at La Cueva High School and continued my education at CNM. I specialize in New Mexico landscapes, creating stunning wall art for both commercial and residential spaces. Additionally, I focus on automotive photography for car and truck events, real estate imagery, and high-quality product photos.
From grass-roots
beginnings.
From the very beginning, I’ve always had a passion for photography. It started with simple phone photos—capturing family vacations and everyday moments to share on Instagram. As soon as I got my first phone, I was hooked on taking pictures.
I saved up and bought my first real camera, a Nikon D3300 from Target, a 12MP model. But as I grew more serious, I realized I needed a higher DPI and more megapixels for bigger prints. That’s when I upgraded to the Nikon D750, a game changer that truly deepened my love for photography.
After a few years, I felt it was time to evolve with the times. Mirrorless cameras were the future, so I made the switch from Nikon to the Sony A7R IV—ready for the next chapter of my journey!

Here are a few of my favorite hobbies:
besides taking pictures I’m also passionate about quad riding and currently ride a Yamaha Raptor 700R. I often hit the trails in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, with friends, aiming to get out every weekend when I’m free. In 2019, I had the incredible opportunity to compete in a local Monster Jam race. After a thrilling weekend, as I was thanking the team, they invited me to travel with them and complete the rest of the tour. It was a fantastic experience, allowing me to connect with amazing people and immerse myself in something I truly love.

Bucket List Goals:
I've always set goals for myself, and I'm thrilled to finally check a big one off the list! For the past six years, I've photographed the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, one of the most photographed events in the world, and for two of those years, I had the honor of being part of the official photography team. It’s a point of pride for me, as the official team was made up of talented photographers from across the United States and even from different countries. This experience is something I’ll always cherish.
